Batteries are the heart of your UPS. Without proper maintenance they leave the door open for unexpected failures. Power Protection Unlimited can provide you with a customized Battery Maintenance Plan along with detailed reports of your batteries' condition.

A periodic maintenance program increases up-time and extends battery life by preventing loose connections, removing corrosion, and identifying bad batteries before they can cause a problem. All battery maintenance performed complies with IEEE Guidelines for VRLA and Flooded batteries.

Heat generating resistance at the terminals

During a Preventive Maintenance Visit you can expect the following to be completed:

Measurement of cell voltage levels
Total battery terminal voltages
Check battery connection torques
Testing of cell/unit internal ohmic value
Visual inspection to look for battery leakage, swelling, corrosion as well as the battery environment
A detailed computer generated report will be sent to you with the results of the inspection and any recommendations
