Infrared Scanning

What is Infrared Scanning?
Infrared Scanning is a non-invasive preventive maintenance inspection used to detect potential points of failure in your electrical systems. We use an infrared camera to produce thermal images of your electrical equipment.

Why do you need an Infrared Scan?
Common points of failure like loose connections, corrosion, unbalanced load and faulty assembly can all be detected with an infrared scan. This is a proactive approach to detecting problem areas which can decrease the risk of costly downtime.

What are the benefits?

  • Infrared Scanning is a highly cost-effective test for finding potential problems before they become expensive failures.
  • It can eliminate unexpected downtime.
  • The test is completed while the equipment is under normal operating conditions, which means no shutdown is necessary.
  • It can help to reduce repair costs by catching problems before they start to affect other parts of the equipment.
  • You may be able to reduce overall building insurance premiums.
